Maker's mark, MC

In 2010, Michèle Courtemanche changed directions, earning professional certification in business start-ups from the Centre Compétences Outaouais. She took sewing courses and soon perfected her skills, but eventually discovered her love of jewellery making. A self-taught creator, Michèle decided to devote herself to jewellery full time. She has been working with precious metals since 2016, designing and crafting standalone pieces and mini-series, notably in Argentium 935. Also in 2016, she became a registered member of Argentium International Limited, an association based in London, England. Michèle is one of the few artists in Canada who is a member.

In 2018, the Canadian Intellectual Property Office (CIPO) registered Michèle Courtemanche’s trademark, recognizing her maker’s mark. The same year, the jewellery artist was accepted as a professional member of the Conseil des métiers d’art du Québec.
